Does anyone have any hotel recommendations for Uchisar in
Cappadocia? Price is not that critical, at least not as
important to me as a view over the valley. Also, how does
staying here compare to Goreme and Urgup? Is it easy enough
to get to Goreme & Zelve from Uchisar?
Thanks very much.

The best choice with the most friendly familie we've ever
met was Erciyes pension which is close to the postoffice!
We've stayed there twice! Another good choice might be La
Maison du Reve. We've only eat there but the view is
spectecular.

I would recommend staying in Goreme since it is way more
central. The outdoor museum is right there and the tour
companies there seem o.k. We took a tour with the Turtle?
people.

I completely agree with Andre: stay in Uchisar! We stayed
at the Maison du reve and the views are indeed spectacular.
Uchisar is also great to start walking. The walk to Goreme
takes 1 to 2 hours, the walk to zelve takes 5 or 6 hours,
but be careful you don't get lost (we got lost in the
second part). Don't go to Goreme, it's flooded with
tourists and the views don't compare at all with Uchisar.
Have a look at my site on Turkey/Cappadocia. There's also a
picture at sunset taken from the terrace of the Maison du
Reve.

Hi,
If price is no problem then i will suggest you :
Ataman Hotel in Goreme ( Goreme is fun, lots of nice cafes,
restaurants, etc..)( www.atamanhotel.com )
Or,
Kapadokya Lodge near Uchisar
Both places have internet accesses.
If you wish extra tips you can contact me directly...
Cheers,
If you like many tourists, growded places, go to goreme! If
you want to stay in a authentic quite turkish place go to
uchisar. The distance from Uchisar to Gerome can be walked
(2 hours) or take the bus or hike!

Hi Steve,
I would suggest you to stay in ▄rgⁿp while you stay in
Cappadocia. ▄rgⁿp is more central than other towns. Most of
the villages are close distanced from eachother.
I would suggest you to check it out the site at
www.lodgingturkey.com
If you have any further questions or if you need any more
information about Turkey, drop me a line. I would be glad to
give you some tips and recommendations.
Best wishes,
Mehmet SEN
