Purto Vallarta w/toddler?

I am planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta, staying at a major
hotel, and wondering about activities for toddlers,
babysitting (safety?), and any tips on being there with a
toddler. My son is almost 2; we want to go while his airfare
is free, and we have one and a half free tickets (thanks to
frequent flyer miles). Anyone have suggestions? Also any
info on health issues (vaccinations, diarrhea prevention) for
toddlers in Mexico?

we went to Huatulco, Mexico tweo years ago with our 20 month
old son. We were at a major resort, but I was too reluctant
to leave him in the day care or have a Spanish speaking
nanny. We got a deluxe room with our own splash pool to use
while he was napping. It worked out okay. The Maeva hotels
in Mexico have great children's programs. Last spring we
went on a fantastic trip to Jamaica. We went to FDR. Our
suite which was okay. came with a nanny who cooked and
watch the kids from 9-5. somedays we would take out 5 yr.
old out exploring andd leave our 2 yr. old back at the
resort. Everyone loved the trip and we hope to go back. I
felt like I spent a lot of quality time with my kids and
husband, yet everynight Vanessa the super nanny fed the kids
while we had romantic dinners on the beach. Best of Luck.
