We are going to Perth in Sept. 99 several months then hoping
to visit Ko Samui (or nearby island) in January 2000 on the
way home. We have three kids ages 2,4 and 6 yrs. We would

we, two adults and one child stayed in the little
village bo phut in a very nice and well-kept place
called peace bungalows (you can find it on internet but
i do not remember the adress)
they have quite big bungalows with a/c that would suit
you, i think they are around us dollar 35.. highseason,
summer and christmas.
no swimming pool, but you can use the pool at sandy
resort, five minutes by walking, for about 50 baht adult,
child was free.
very good restaurant at peace, the bungalows and restaurant
are kept by a very helpful family.
the beach i not the best at koh samui, but you can easily
go to chaweng for a swim and some early night life and
shopping.

i found peace bungalow on internet, peace@sawadee.com
it was a bit more expensive then i remembered...
2000-2200 baht. ther are cheaper bungalows too but they
are too small for you i think.
Mae Nam beach (north coast of Ko Samui, and next to Bo Phut) is very quiet, mainly families and couples. We fitted into a 350B bungalow, very basic but adequate, right on the sand, with 2 yr old and 1 yr old. You may need something larger - La Paz had larger air con bungalows for around 1000, I think. Other places with large non-air con bungalows were around 700 (eg Mae Nam Resort, Lolita, and others). Just arrive and walk along the beach to find something you like.
