We have just had our first kid. Next year in February the
three of us wants to go for a four week holliday in the
sun/beaces. Our son will then be 11 mnds.
Have anybody some good advice? We want a quiet place with
nice weather and no danger for snakes and diseases. We have
thought of Thailand or Careebean Islands.
We are happy to have som advice about things "nice to know"
and nice cheap places (clean with AC).

  1. kid are easy Added by: justine

My dauter and I have been traveling around the world since
she was born. At times it has been hard but she has also
opened more doors and smiles to us than when I travel on my
own. The best places I have been with her are; Sri lanka,
Jamacia, Southern Italy, Bali and Nepal although she caught
Hep.E there so I dont recomened it for small persons. I
think the easiest place was Bali as they love children and
it is clean and there are hardly any mossquitos. Also
    southern Italy

  2. Bali at 12mths Added by: Michelle

When our son was 12 months (8 years ago) we took him to
Bali also. We found it incredibly easy. We took along a
stroller/pusher ( as well as a backpack thingy for him to
sit in) and would just put it on an angle so he could sleep
while we ate out. He would often "disapear" with the staff
while they pinched his cheeks etc. The Balinese love
children. Since then we have had another child and they
have travelled with us througout Central America, and Asia
and are just as happy to "rough it" as they are to stay in
a nice hotel. Enjoy your travels with your child, you will
    SEE so much more!!

There are diseases in Thailand. I would ask in health
    centers for travellers.

  4. Try Jamaica! Added by: corndog

I have been travelling with my kids since the oldest was 3
months. The great thing is that every year gets easier! I
would highly recommned Jamaica, especially Negril. The
water is very calm, very shallow and very warm--just like a
tub! Jamaicans love children---I used to get sitters from
the hotel so my husband and I could go out. Something I
would never do anywhere else. And everything is very laid
back so you don't need to worry about disturbing anyone
    else's romantic vacation.

  5. go to thailand Added by: enirt (folkman@online.no)

go to Phi Phi Island in Thailand, it is a very friendly, and
safe place for small children. Go to more exotic, exciting
places later when your child is a little bit older. You have
    plenty of time.....
