my wife, I and our then 1.5 yr old girl will start
travelling in September. We would like to go around the
globe (starting in Switzerland, open end). Australia, NZ,
and the Cook Islands are our main desinations. We like to
travel only to malaria-free destinations. Now the
question: which way around and any special places for a
toddler ??

Sydney has great places for all. If you don't like it too
hot come in October/November then beaches lovely and not
too hot. Must take her to Taronga Zoo. Darling Harbour
Aquarium. A "Wiggles" Concert and a "Play School Concert".
Lots of Parks like the Botanical Gardens, to
chase pigeons in while you admire the Sydney Harbour.

    Dear Marcel,
I know what its like to travel with little ones. I have two boys ages 3 and 5. I just happen to run a backpacker hotel here in Austria. We have a large house located in a small village in Upper Austria. You are more then welcome to bring your little one here. Summers are very green and you can drink the water from the rivers here. If you come in October the leaves are changing and it is so beautiful. Its very safe and clean. We have bikes here at the house and yes I have a baby seat. We can organize horseback riding and our house is across the street from a very resonably priced skifield. If you are interested and want more information write me at treehousehotel@hotmail.com or call 43 7616 8499.
    All the best,
    Heidi Bammer
