Going with a 10 year old son and a 14 year old daughter in
July/August. We are not looking for resort-type fun. What
have people done which their kids have really enjoyed? My
son climbs and we plan to head to Krabi and do some climbing
at one point. any tips greatly appreciated

Hi, we have just returned from 7 months of travelling thru se asia with our 2 kids, 12 and 9. While in Thailand, around the Krabi area we did sea canoeing, which was a brilliant day out. Had 2 people to a canoe, with a guide and went to some incredible places. The kids really enjoyed it (apart from when the 9 yr old and her father fell out of their canoe in an underwater cave!) Also Railay is where you want to go to for the rock climbing, saw heaps of people there doing it, but accommodation quite expensive there.
We took them riding on elephants and rafting up north in Thailand, which we have done before, but the kids really enjoyed that also. Hope this is of some help. Have a great holiday.
