Which Airline to Bombay

I wish to fly cheaply (but possibly not too cheaply) to
Bombay from London. There seem to be three airlines to
take:
Aeroflot (unreliable?), KLM, Gulf or Lufthansa.
Anyone got any advice on who to go with and who not?
I don't mind a casual environment, but delays are a bummer.
Thanks.

I've been flying Emirates lately. Nice new planes, pleasant
crew, low fares. No, I'm not an Emirates employee. Bom-Lon
flights stop or change planes in Dubai, but layovers aren't
    that long.

Whatever you do, don't go with Qatar airways, the planes are
old and cramped, and the staff aren't all that friendly. The
    food's a bit grim too. I don't think there's a problem with
    delays though.

Kuwait airlines were great (although dry, but food
excellent, new planes, personal TV etc, cheap tickets),
Emirates are good, as are Lufthansa and KLM, avoid
    Areoflot.
