Myself and partner are arriving into Kathmandu around the
end of October. We are wanting to do the Annapurna circuit
for 2-3 weeks. We were wondering if anyone else is
interested in joining us to do a trek independently with
hired porters.
If anyone has any useful information/tips regarding this
trek we would also appreciate you passing it on.

If you wuld like some info on doing the Annapurna trek,
visit my webpage The Travel Companion at
    www.geocities.com/thetropics/lagoon/5491. You'll find
articles on my treks in Nepal, photos, tips and Q&A. Are
you planning to include the sanctuary on your trek? It will
only add a max. of 4 or 5 more days to the circuit.
    Good luck.

I did it last year in November, it┤s wonderful, but try to
start up as soon as possible as it┤s getting cold towards
december and the Throng Pass could be closed due to the
snow. If you want to know anything, just ask.

Be careful with Thorung La. I took the circuit trek about
the same time of year that you are going. It is the trek of
a lifetime. Allow 3 or 4 days in Manang. Then push on to
Thorung La. But buddy-up good for going over; altitude
sickness is a real bear if you're not careful and have
someone handy to help you get down.

Someone passed on yetizone.com as a great website, and it
sure is. All the information that you will need.
We are goig in mid October but feel the circuit is too long
for a first time trek in Nepal, we are looking at Jomson or
    Sanctuary
    Have a great trip
