I'm having difficulty finding wher the stations are on the
new Konkan line through Goa.
One map I found shows it running through Pananji and other
stations: eg, Ratnagiri.
Can anyone confirm which stations in Goa the Konkan runs
through in Goa?
Thanks

It definitely goes through Panaji and Old Goa, and I think
    through Margao as well.

The name on the station in Old Goa is Karmali. I was there
about a month ago. It is only a 15 to 20 minute ride to
    Panjim from there.

Dont forget to check out Grant Road and Foras road for some
whores. Those are my fave hangouts even as a woman.

The KR 0012 runs daily from Margao (Madgaon) to Mumbai CST.
Station closest to Vagator, Anjuna and Chapora is Tivvim,
just out of Mapusa. Only 15 or so minutes by taxi (or
scooter), and much easier than going all the way back to
    Margao.
The train has a tendency to stop at Dadar instead of CST, so
beware! I was there 2 weeks back, and a 2nd class sleeper
usually costs around 250+ rupees. Since it is student
    holiday times, expect heavy bookings.
    Enjoy the trains!

    Hi ,
Goa is well connected by rail line to the rest of india
via konkan railway. The two main stations in Goa on the
konkan line are karmali ( 10 km from panaji, the capital
of goa ) and margao ( a port town in goa ).
if u want to try out the south goa beaches , get down at
margao.and if u want to go to north goan beaches , get down
at karmali and proceed. vasco , a harbour town also is
connecetd by rails , but not on the konkan line.
there are a few trains connecting goa to mumbai viz,
new delhi - trivandrum rajdhani exp. , nizamudeen - cochin
exp, kurla - cochin exp, VT - Margao exp , kurla -
managlaore exp , rajkot - trivandrum exp etc .
if anymore info is needed , u can e-mail me.

  7. Tivvim=Mapusa Road Added by: Paul

Tivvim is also known as Mapusa Road, which confused the
hell out of me. This is the station to use if you want to
go to North Goa (Vagator, Anjuna etc.). I know that the
Konkan also stops at Margao (also called Madgaon). I found
the service very good and quick; although the train up from
Tivvim to Agra was 3 hours late in departing it arrived
under an hour late. The one from Bombay down to Goa was
    only half an hour late.
    Cheers, Paul.
