    Mel,
We arrived at Dehli airport at about the same time, and there is an international travellers lounge where you can sit for a few hours away from the throngs which is ok.
There is an all night shuttle transfer to the domestic airport, about 10kms away, which runs about every hour - 90 minutes through the night, departing from the international lounge. There is a charge for this, so make sure you change some cash at the international terminal before you exit to the lounge.
The domestic terminal is a bit more uptodate than the international one and they have quite comfy chairs to sit in too, though they are not seperated from bypassers like the lounge in the international terminal.
    Good luck!
