Flying to Nepal

I've heard that it is quite cheap and easy to get flights
from Bangkok to Kathmandu once arriving in Bangkok. Has
anyone heard of/done this. About how much would I be
looking at. It is soooo expensive to fly from the UK to
Nepal and onto Australia I thought this might be a good
bet. Any other ideas appreciated as well.
Thanks.

Flying from Bangkok to Nepal is CHEAP. As high as 250
U.S. , one way, to as low as 150 U.S. Just get to Bangkok
and then buy your ticket from there. You can check the
local newspapers for prices, seatsales etc, but I highly
recommend just going to Koh San Road (the infamous
backpackers gheto) and finding the best deal there.
Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the agency whom
we bought tickets from, but I'll try to describe their
location to you. Cause they we're very reliable and cheap
(did i mention that already, haha.)
Okay, there is an alleyway just off "koh san road",
if you go down this street from Koh San Road, there
are merchants, shops and two travel agencies on that street.
YOu shouldn't have a problem finding it, as it's the only
alleyway leading off of KOh San Road. Plus, just off
Koh San, at the entrance to the alley, there is a restaurant
on one side and a jewelry/clothing store on the
other. So, coming from Koh San road, the agency that I am
recommending is on the left hand side and is right beside
the other travel agency. I know the agency has an acronym -
something like INS or IFS - before the word travel.
When you find it, that's the place you want. I got a flight
from this agency: Bangkok to New YOrk for 13,000 baht, only
400 U.S.!!! Other quotes I got, from the paper, we're as
high as 25,000/ 6-700 US.. So, good luck.

    Bkk - Dehli : 150 US$ one way ( indian air lines )
    Bkk - Katmandu : 180 US$ one way ( Royal Nepal air lines )
    Enjoy,

Be careful when referring to Calcutta as CLT. It is the
airport ticket code for Charlotte, North Carolina in the
USA. You could cause a ticketing nightmare for the person
following your advice and accidently usuing CLT for
Calcutta. I believe Calcutta is CCU. Just some nuerotic
    correcting on my behalf. Thanks.
