Hey guys-
Heading through Bangkok (few weeks) to Nepal, @ 2 months of
trekking, and then into India for 4-5 months alone.
Super-confused about all the immunization information out
there - can anyone tell me what they took, what they wish
they had, what they'd avoid (horror stories and "I heard's"
also accepted and appreciated...)(By the way, the trip is
set to begin Sept. 27-ish, so no, I can't do ALL the cycles
of a hep. B vaccine anymore....)
Appreciate it!
Leah

If you are in Australia you can go to travelvax, there is
one in sydney and they are everywhere but I think they are
more $$ than going to the DR
    I got Hep A & B but only 2 of the 3 shots . I got them done
about 2 mths before I left so you can still do yours.
I was taking malaria tabs but got there and found out they
haven't had malaria in nepal for 10 years and the only
chance of getting it would be in Chitwan in Monsoon time...
also got polio, tetanus and mengitis.
best thing to do is see a dr
    have a great trip!

all of the shots in the above post are right, and you might
want to think about typhoid vaccine... it's oral and taken
a couple of weeks before you depart, and might be worth
    your while.
