The Dec, Jan nights & early mornings can get pretty cold 0deg min, but the sunny & clear days are wonderful. It's even possible to trek provided you have really warm clothes. Independent trekking is easy, & not necessary to way yourself down with tent & eqipment unless you really want to tent it. The tea houses are great & can be a nice sociable ending to each trekking day. Fish are caught in Lake Phewa, Pokhara & in some of the rivers out of the Kathmandu Valley. Have a go! Better still make friends with a local & he'll be thrilled to take you fishing. Enjoy yourself in Nepal, allow yourself to take in some of the mysticism of this beautiful land. You will want to return again & again. Cheers!
