Iranian visa in Dehli

Is it possible to get iranian transit visa in Dehli?
I'm planning overland trip from Poland to India, but in
iranian embassy in Poland I can get only one way iranian
visa.

   Last time I knew, it was possible. You had to bring a
   "letter of recommendation" from your embassy or consulate.
   It was supposed to take about a week to get the visa.
   I once tried to get such a visa in Pakistan - big mistake,
   as it took at least three weeks just to get an answer. I
   gave up in the end - much better to have gotten it in
   India.
