European Video Tapes in UK

I am trying to find some video tapes of French/European
movies. However, the local distributors seem not very
interested in that. I supposed it would be easier to get
during my trip in the UK. Any suggestions on shops with
better chance.

I am not sure where you plan on watching these videos. But
do note that videos purchased in Europe, regardless of
which country you purchase them will not work in North
America and quite possibly Australia also. If this does
not apply to you sorry for wasting your time, but if it
does I thought you should know. The same also applies for
    DVDs.

Yeah, you don't even say where you live. How do you expect
people to answer your question. What do you mean about
distributors anyway and why do you care what the local
distributors want to do? Are you in the entertainment
industry or just want to buy a video to watch at home? If
the latter, there are plenty of WEB sites where you can buy
foreign films easily enough. Try www.amazon.com for
starters. Local distributors are irrelevant on the WWW.

    Hello!
Britain, Australia and most of Europe uses PAL video and
tapes from one country will play in another without
problems. France and some peculiar places use SECAM video
which if you're luucky will play PAL videos but only in
black and white. America and Japan use NTSC which will not
play PAL videos at all. A responsible video retailer will
know all of this and not rip you off. I am not sure where
you are from but beware if you want to buy porn that what
is openly and legally on sale in mainland Europe may get
you into trouble with local customs when you try to take it
    home.
    Have fun!
    John :-)
