  1. Le Petit Lily Added by: Kirsten

    Hi there,
The last time I was in Paris, my mother and I stumbled
across a divine restaurant in which I had the best meal I've
evr eaten. It was called Le Petit Lily and was on the
corner of a little side street. Relatively small, but a
lovely atmosphere. The owner and his wife served us a
delectable meal of greek salad (I've never had a tastier
salad), Sausage with pecan nuts...fish for mother, I think,
and a strawberry charlotte for dessert. I'm sorry, I can't
tell you the address, but if you can look it up in a phone
book, you'll love it. It wasn't hideously expensive, but it
wasn't the cheapest meal I've ever had either.
Hope you have the wonderful experience I had!

is familiar for good ideas (for going out, for example).
    Check out this site:

Le Petit Zinc is a wonderful restaurant in the St. Germaine
district. We went there in 1996 when it was in it's former
location (and much smaller). It was expensive but worth
every dollar. We found the food in France to be quite good
    wherever you go. Enjoy!

You obviously are a first-timer for Paris. I say this
because finding a charming restaurant with good food is so
easy it's hard not to find one! You'll see what I mean
    when you are there.
Anyway, I have always liked walking around the latin
quarter and chosing a restaurant that fancied my tastes for
    the day.
    Bon Appetit!

Maybe too many adresses, but I'm french and living in Paris
I can give you my favorites adresses, all my
foreigners friends really loved them. They are not expensive
for Paris, really good food, really french BUT not too much
    tourists!
"L'Θbauchoir", 45 rue des Citeaux in the 12 arrondissement
next to the Nation Place.Really good food and wine ( you
only pay what you drink)and the owner is really nice.
"Polidor", rue Monsieur le Prince next to the Odeon Place
and the subway station calls Odeon. Lot of students and
    really cheap.
"Les Zazous" boulevard du Montparnasse, don't remember the
number but really next to the subway station "Montparnasse"
and next to the tower. very cheap for the quality of the
food and the clothes of the servers look like french clothes
    during the 2 world war!

It is no trouble to find a good restaurant in Paris.
Try La LozΦre, rue Hautefeuille (closed on WE, between Notre
Dame and Le Louvre.(approx 15 USD for an excellent French
meal and quarter of wine) Usually not for tourists : the
people of the area know it and it is full every day. You
    have to make reservation
If you need a place to stay, I can help.

  7. Chinese? Added by: katherine

I know that most people don't go to Paris for Chinese food,
but in the Ste-Germaine-du-Pres area there is a fantastic
little place on rue Mazarine, that I think calls itself a
Salon du The, which does the best chicken with black fungus
you are ever going to eat. Cafe Bucci on the corner is good
for a coffee, and on rue Bucci (just around the corner from
rue Mazarine) there are some nice sandwich stands, and an
    outdoor fruit market most days.
