If you like nature go visit the "wadden-eilanden" (islands)
especially Vlieland is really great. There are almost no
cars on the island and you can get everywhere by bike.
It's very beautiful and has some nice pubs.
You get there by taking the boat from Harlingen it will take
about an 1 1/2 hr and costs 39 guilders.
    Have fun!!

  5. Nederland Added by: John Carrington (johncarrington@yahoo.com)

    Hello!
You will need warm clothes as the Netherlands is fucking
freezing. I am British and the Netherlands is cold even
compared to what I am used to.
Yes, get yourself to Amsterdam. You should be able to find
you scene, whatever it is, without much difficulty. Any
problems email me back and I'll try to help. As I said I am
British but have had lots of experience of trips to
    Amsterdam.
    Have fun!
    John :-)

Hi, i'm dutch and i live near Amsterdam. What John says is
far from true. At this moment it's 22 Celcius and the sun
is shining. Anyway, since you're a nature freak; visit
National Park "de Weerribben"near Steenwijk in the northern
part of Holland. It's very beautiful; "De Weerribben" is a
nature area; flat lands, lot of birdlife, flowers, water.
Check it out yourself. Take the train to Steenwijk Station,
there you can rent a bike to explore the area. At the
station you can get a map of the park.
    Hope you'll have fun!
