Thanks for the info, just looking for 3 more countries. Can
anyone help?? I've included the ones I now know in case
anyone else is interested.

Hi,
I am cycling around Northern Europe in June/July. I
will be using a Trangia stove which burns alcohol fuel. In
the past I've had trouble with purchasing it in non-english
countries. In Australia we use Methylated Spirits, but I
have used Fondue fuel very successfully. Can anyone tell me
the local word (or a brand name) for either of these in any
of the following countries:
Netherlands (spiritus)
Germany
Poland
Finland
Sweden (Rod sprit)
Denmark (Trµsprit or husholdnings sprit)
Any help much appreciated. Please respond to my e-mail
address if possible. Thanks, Paul
Cheers, Paul

beware of the clouds of man-eating mosquitoes in Lappland!!
did a similar trip with a camping gaz stove, and found that
the cartridges were totally unavailable in northern
    scandinavia.
Finland - lots speak Swedish, so you could just show them
    your swedish meths bottle -
