I want to fly to Norway for a few days from Edinburgh (or
Glasgow). Can anyone recommend any student travel agencies
that might be able to help me find good fares? Thanks

  1. STA, Campus Travel Added by: bruce

You've almost got it yourslef asking for a 'student travel
agency' - STA (Student Travel Australia) are good, have many
    offices throughout UK.
Also Campus Travel is v. good.
Surely if you are a student your University campus has a
student travel office run by one of the above or something
    similar?

I'm Canadian...I just thought maybe that booking a flight
once I'm in the UK would be cheaper.

  3. Norway flights from Scotland Added by: G

Cheapest flights to Norway from Scotland ( and only direct
daily flights) are actually available from Aberdeen. Both
SAS and KLM fly direct to Stavanger 4 or 5 times a day
because of the oil industry connections. Flights are
cheaper if you can stay over a Saturday. As far as I know
there are no direct flights to Norway from either Glasgow
or Edinburgh. When I went to Oslo with work, I was able to
get a direct flight from Aberdeen to Stavanger, but the
people coming from Edinburgh had to fly to London and then
to Oslo. There other alternative was Edinburgh to amsterdam
or Copenhagen and then onto Oslo. Far too expensive.
Alternativly if you are coming in the summer there is an
indirect ferry route from Aberdeen to Stavanger via
    Shetland, Faroe Isles and Iceland!!

Thanks for the tips! HOw much do you think a flight from
    Aberdeen to Stavanger would cost?
