Posted this message last week, but apparently it has been
removed as I can't find it. My wife is diabetic and we
would like to have pasturized milk available for
snacks/breakfasts in Germany and mainly northern Italy.
When we traveled in Europe years ago (before she became
diabetic) it was hard to find the kind of milk we are used
to here. Can anyone tell me if it has become easier to
find. I thought we would keep a cooler in the rental car
if possible or buy some each day. Thanks

All milk for sale in Germany is pasturised -the label says
'pasteurisiert'.
Mostly it's also homogenesed -'homogenesiert'.
What is 2% milk? If you just mean low fat then its 'fettarm'
milk that you want, teh %age is also printed on the label.
Long life (UHT) milk is called 'H-milch'.
Milk, wich is called "fettarm" in Germany has 1,5 percent
fat. And - als pauline said - you can get it pasturised and
homogenesed everywhere.
Most countries on earth pasturize milk except for poor
developing countries. This process has nothing to do with
being diabetic. Are you sure you are asking the right
question?
