Do not know any hostels but know a couple of hotels in
Cernobbio on Lake Como - really beatiful little village
about 5-10km's from Como town (which is worth avoiding -
not so nice) Alergo Centrlae or Albergo Giardino (Giardino
is slightly cheaper. If I remember correctly from last
    June around ITL100,000 - 120,000 for a double romm B&B.
they have got a great Pizzeria also.
Another town on Lake Como is Lecco do not know it so well
but have driven through a couple of times and it looks
    lovely.
Afraid I do not know Garda very well at al so will not give
    any misinformation.
    Have fun

  2. Garda good location Added by: Darrell (darrellgoh@hotmail.com)

I went to the YHA Garda and it was quite good. It is a
interesting converted apartment block with homely
    atmosphere near centre of Garda.
It is interesting that hardly any English speaking tourists
go to Garda except for the occasional american.
