  1. Munich is fine Added by: Mike

With only three nights, Munich is a good choice. I would
stick to Munich and tour Munich and perhaps on the third
day take a daytrip. You could do the castle tango, drink
great beer and eat good food at Andechs, or take a daytrip
to Salzburg. For more travel ideas see

  2. Heidelberg or Konstanz Added by: anna

I would recommend a smaller sized University Town like
Heidelberg, Nⁿrnberg or -very nicely situated at the Lake of
Constance (Bodensee) : Konstanz (right next to the Swiss
    border).
Or do a 3 day cruise on the Rhine River, starting from
Koblenz or K÷ln. Very nice scenery, small old towns and
    medieval castles on the hills.
If you prefer a relatively big city, Munich is perfect. But
also Hamburg, K÷ln or Frankfurt have great museums,
collections of ancient and modern art, concert halls, shops,
    restaurants, pedestrian zones, parcs, botanical
gardens, zoos. Around Frankfurt, you will love the Taunus
hills with small, scenic old towns (Idstein, Kronberg),
Roman sites (Saalburg) and the Hessenpark, a rebuilt old
farmers village that gives you an impression of rural
Germany some hundred years ago. Germany is full of exciting
sites. All you want. There is a great lot to see in Germany,
try not to miss it out !

  4. Skip it! Added by: Anne

Munich is expensive. You get more for less in other European
countries. If you have the opportunity to spend these three
    days anywhere else, skip Germany!

I found Germany a beautiful country, cities like Hamburg,
Heidelberg, Trier were great. So if you have the change of
    going there; do it!!!
    Have fun!!!
