What kind of camera to buy?

I need to buy a new camera and have no idea whether to buy
an APS or a 35mm compact. I have been told that 35mm
compacts take better shots. Can any one recommend a model
and type and also if you can list any features which I
should be looking for when purchasing a new camera. Muchas
gracias. I am looking at spending under รบ150.

APS all the way! I am very clumsy with film, and with APS,
you don't have to worry about putting film in incorrectly.
However, if you do decide to go with APS cameras, make sure
to load up on film before you leave for europe. I heard from
a lot of people that you can't find it anywhere in europe
except for England (and it'll be very expensive). Sorry I
didn't provide enough info, but I thought the above might be
    useful.

I wouldn't recommend APS. Mainly because the negatives are
smaller. Therefore the prints made from the negative are
going to be not as good as 35 mm prints. I don't know
about which brand to buy, but you can buy 35 mm film
anywhere. Most people can put film in a 35 mm camera

APS is about as expensive comparitely to 35 mm as the same ratio in the US and you can get it about anywhere.

  4. NO APS Added by: Brohyme (brohyme@hotmail.com)

I would not recommend APS, I'm in Italia and it is very
expensive to buy and develop. It is easier to use, but
really, how hard is film to load!! I personaly would
recommend any of the OS series cameras from Olympus, not
sure of what the cost is now. Hope this helps

Go to Wal-Mart and buy the cheapest 35mm you can. I bought
one for 20USD and its all auto (winding, advance, flash,
etc). I've had it 3 yrs and no problems and it takes very
good pictures. Its light and compact - fits in my pocket.
If I lose it, I wouldn't be too upset as its more than paid
for itself. In fact, but 2 just in case you do lose one.
Oh yeah, mine is made by Polaroid.
