Do you know of any campsites in southern U.K. that don't
have a bunch of caravaners as well? We are looking for
something close to the coast. Any help would be great - we
willbe taking the train from London.

you will find all campsites cater for both. it's the
caravanners that really pay for the places rather than
    cheapskate backpackers.

There are thousands of campsites on the south coast. Every
half mile is another, followed by another.
It's dead easy to go from one to the other until you find
one that looks OK. Alas the old frumps in the Caravan Club
have invaded and taken control of EVERY site in the world.
