hello, i'm going to the rugby world cup in the uk later this
year and I'm wondering how old you have to be to drink
alcohol and get into nightclubs etc. Also, how much does it
cost to get to France on the chunnel or whatever is the
cheapest way. Thanks a lot for any help, cheers

pubs and clubs in UK are very strict now about under-age
drinking. you WILL be asked for ID and refused booze if you
    can't produce one.

dont be too put off by alan there, that is not my
experience. in london where i live most places are pretty
cool as long as u dont act really drunk and underage. if u
can pass for 18 people will let u, and if there is a
problem in one place u will always find somewhere else...

p.s. there are many offlicences who will serve ANYONE,
    good luck ~ j

GOOD DEALS IN BRITISH NEWSPAPERS SOMETIMES, IF YOU GO BY
CHUNNEL WILL BE IN CAR, NOT TOO MUCH ABOUT รบ20 FOR DAY
    RETURN

Mate, I think most people start drinking in pubs in England
from around the age of 15.
False ID is great, plus bar staff really don't care.

over your part of the world, in the UK you don't normally get asked unless you look very young. Have a great time, I miss home a bit, but not enough to go back for a while.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'm 20 so it seems there isn't
a problem but I thought I had better find out what the legal
    age limit was anyway. Cheers
