BOats.. Italy to Turkey

Hey
Good idea this message thing.. a lot of stupid stuff
(probably cant swear can I?) and peopl in it though.
Can anyone tell me about boat travel between italy and
turkey? Maybe greece and Turkey?
I want to travel overland from Europe but i guess the
balkans maybe too big a hurdle.

    There are lots of ferries from Italy to Greek Islands - they
    all leave from the southern Italian costal town of Brindisi
    - you can book tickets there. The ferries stop at each of
    the islands and you just get off on the one you choose. Its
    very easy to organise and do.
