  1. Older men Added by: Kate

Positives- they have more cash to spend so you get to go on
good holidays, they are better in bed (usually), they like
cuddling more, they treat you like a queen, they are more
mature so they don't sulk, better communicators.
Negatives- Your age difference may cross whole eras. He's
bopping to Neal Diamond, you dancing to smashing
pumpkins... mmm... I don't think 12 years is that much
unless of course your 13 and he's 25 then I would call him
a pedophile and suggest you keep away.
My partner is 9 years older but I only worry about having
    kids at the right time.

If you're looking for an older man *preens hair* then you
    need not look any further.

on the respective maturity levels. I know of a couple, he is
31, she is 22 and they seem to have no problems. I think he
is slightly immature for his age so maybe that's why they
    get on so well.
Another point is that while the couple may not have a
problem with the age difference, other might. It's well and
good to say that the opinons of others shouldn't matter but
I've seen it take a toll of relationships.
If you are comfortable with it then go for it. There's no
law saying that the love of your life has to be near your
    age.

and my dad was 58 when they had me. Of course I had to spend
three months in an incubator. But age made no big
    difference in their case.

Trust us! There's no downside in the age of viagra

  6. No diff Added by: scubabe

No difference really. Went out with a 40-ish guy (17 year
age diff) and found out to my dismay that he was the
world's oldest living teen-ager (collected comic books
    even). Sheesh.

..and what about the opposite...what if the woman was 12
    years older?

  8. older man, younger woman Added by: Lena
[Timestamp: Mon 24 May, 19:54 Tasmanian Standard Time]

My girlfriend who is 26 is going out with a 51 year old
man. They've been together 5 years and are getting married
    this year.
Disadv - Might be set in his ways and may want everything
done his way, and expect you to be at his beck & call.
    - Insecure when they see you around younger guys closer to
    your age.
    - May already have kids, ex-wives(6 kids, 2 ex-wives in my
friends case!), may not want anymore with you
Adv - better & more generous in bed
