I have lived abroad and moved "back home" a couple of times.
I have a few questions:
1. What is the best thing about living abroad?
2. What is the worst thing about living abroad?
3. What is the best thing about moving back home?
4. What is the worst thing about moving back home?
5. How do you tackle/combat the lows abroad and at home?

slip it up my bung hole
1. Get to experience a different culture and way of life.
2. Feeling of being an outsider.
3. See own culture with different eyes.
4. Feeling of being an outsider in own culture.
5. I've spent most of the last eight years abroad, so I've
just found a comfortable niche and enjoy what life here has
to offer.
1. Having my preconceptions challenged.
2. Missing family and friends. Isolation
3. The ability to spend more time with family and friends.
4. Disorientation while figuring out what has changed.
5. I bring along pictures of those I will miss. The only
thing that helps to get back into the swing of things at
home is time. Takes about 6-12 months.
agree with all teh 1-4s above - but , if you're a Yank, be
prepared for it to take at least 2 years to work it's way
thru your taxes.. and make sure your package included the
services of accountants there and for that 2 years after
return... horrendous...
I think I am going to cry - what a tough life.
Fat chance all you whiners.............
Get on with your life or give it up
