THE LATEST DARWIN AWARD CANIDATE

I think the latest Darwin Award canidate would have to be
the WWF's very own Owen Hart. The thing that suprised me the
most about his death on Sunday actually made the Sports
page. Since when has WWF wrestling been a sport? Mexican
telanovellas require less scripting (and are far more
entertaining) than the WWF. The version I heard was that the
unfortunate Owen was supposed to slide down from the rafters
on a cable, but forgot to hook himself up. 50 vertical feet
later, Splat goes wrestler. Now that a 'professional'
wrestler is dead, I guess we'll NEVER find the cure for
cancer.

Professional wrestler - yes, person - yes, family man - yes,
general good guy - yes, any less deserving of our sympathy
than someone else who dies in an accident - NO!
So shut it retard. Just because you have no compassion
doesn't mean you should go around showing it off.

You are one cold hearted bastard.

To answer your question, Devi: Yes, people love me, despite
my awful habit of calling things as I see them. Sometimes
that gets interperted as being cold.
By the by, Fan- would you be a 'fan' of the WWF? I can think
of a few hundred people as deserving as or more deserving of
our collective sympathies, like the victims of the Columbine
high-school shooting, the car accident I passed by last week
that turned out to be a fatality, the victims of violence
and atrocites in the former Yugoslavia, be they Albaniac,
Serb, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenagrin, or even Chinese.
There's life outside the WWF, you know.

I'm sorry to hear your sympathy is in such short supply. Why
can't you feel sympathy (or at least not mock) someone who
died in an unfortunate accident, while also feeling sympathy
for shooting victims, war victims, etc? They are all equally
human and leave behind families and people who love them.
