The thing is that I am working in some trading company and everything with it is O.K.: The office is greate - we have two big rooms, in each is working 4-5 people; the furniture, the computers are good and even the staff is sociable, but...
the summer is comming and the Boss is going to save the money on us - his workers. There is no air-conditioners in our office so he decided to put all us in one room which does not have the window to straight sun it faces to the North. He says that it is going to be cooler in it. The othe room, which faces south is going to be left empty.
All staff is going to be gathered in one room and he does not care that we are doing some different jobs - product managers are always hanging on the phone or having guests, logistic department is working seriously with documents etc... It is going to be a complete mess and I do not believe that it is going to be cooler as well.
So maybe you can help me - what should we do?

Liase with other staff to place mountains of empty drinks
bottles on your desks and lots of those cheap crappy hand
held fans. Put loads of blusher on your face and try not to
wash. Fake a few fainting attacks and (heres the smart bit)
carefully place small sealed bags of ice cubes under your
    armpits and in your baggies.
This way your Boss will relent and stop being a tight
bastard while you work in a cool environment with a face
    like a slapped arse.

our offices were on the top floor of the building... there
was one toilet per floor - the men's on ur floor , the
ladies one floor down. We brought in a thermometer.. the
ladies was a LOT cooler than the office floor - so the two
of us ladies who weren't secretaries moved down there and
would only come up to our desks to answer the phones... in 3
days the whole office was airconditioned.
So - try (at first) with small thermometers.. if it gets
really hot - then bring in a big one adn put it on the
    wall-Good luck!
