If it weren't for a few inovative Americans, what would you
all be driving? How would you all get to other countries so
swiftly? How would you talk to all your far flung friends
and families? How would you be reading this right now?

Cars, airplanes, telephones, computers, movies, light-
bulbs, and countless other American inventions have made
your lives better each and every day.

So, what have you to say to that?

Oh, yes....please state your jealousy loud and clear for
all who might misunderstand your use of these above
mentioned inventions. If you are so bored with them, I
would challenge you to stop using them immediately.

Thank you Nirvana Fan. God Does Bless America!

But you see, to have any effect on our american friends, all great people and great inventions must have come from the US or A.
As my American friends tell me, and some of my foes, if it didn't happen in America or by an American....well it couldn't have possibly happened at all.

The boomerang. Ancient weapon of the aboriginies.
    The Notepad.

The Electric Drill was the invention of Arthur James Arnot,
    who patented it in 1889.

was introduced at Sydney in 1838.
The worlds first refrigeration plant was an Australian
    invention of 1858.
The famous "black box" flight recorder for recording
aeroplane movements was invented in Australia in 1958.
Also in 1958 the worlds first regular 'round the world'
    airline service was begun.
The inflatable aircraft escape slide, which becomes a raft
if the aeroplane ditches in water was an Australian
    inventio of 1965.

Check out the timestamps. Proud American posted his
original drivel at 14:44. Nirvana Fan posted a paragraph
response in the same minute. There are two possibilities.
Either Nirvana fan read the post, composed an answer, typed
the answer, and sent it in in less than a minute, or he is
both people, and had two windows open so he could do both
messages and start this stupid harrangue with himself
instantaneously. He did it as Jake and Nirvana Fan the other
day, as well. Time for handle registration so this twit's
mental mutual self-masturbation can go back in the closet
    where it belongs.

  12. I don't get why Added by: becca
[Timestamp: Thu 20 May, 15:17 Tasmanian Standard Time]

most Americans become so defensive and arrogant about the US
when interacting with people from other countries. At home,
we bitch about plenty of things that could be improved, and
everything the government does gets endlessly debated by the
media and the general public. I think the US is far from
perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it on the whole and am as
proud of my heritage as everyone should be. However, I'm
not the least bit interested in debates about cultural and
national superiority. My take on the situation is: Americans
are too arrogant when interacting with foreigners (and often
have little knowledge about other countries) and citizens of
many other countries are far too harsh and generalizing with
their condemnation of Americans, which puts them on the
defensive. Can't we all just accept that every country has
    its positives and negatives?

that Australia invented the over the horizon radar system only 4 years ago that can detect the Stealth Fighters and Bombers. The Jindalee system.
Hey, but the americans have done a great deal for improving life on the planet as far as seeing the possibility of ideas and running with them through to production and release to the market.Big country on R&D, something australia should have a look at and revisit

OTH radar systems aren't exactly new (even the USSR had
them), but I haven't heard of any radar system that has
improved ability to pick up stealthed aircraft outside of
    the USA.

  20. Long live the wine cask! Added by: Unreal Banana Peel
[Timestamp: Thu 20 May, 15:39 Tasmanian Standard Time]

Gee, no, I think that the "bag in the box" was a great
invention. Not only does it hold a large amount of wine,
but when you finish you can blow it up and use it for a
    picnic cushion, kidÆs pool floatee,à..etc.

Nirvana fanà.ItÆs true, Australia needs to work on
following through on their inventions. In fact a lot of
Australian inventions are claimed as invented in other
countries due to this very fact. It is a shame. There are
some strategies for change, but it seems difficult due to
immaturity, lack of infrastructure, small population, big
    distances etc. etc.
Oh and yes vegimite is a BIG plus!!

around $10? Some of their range are better than many

thing I've ever seen in one those things is the barrel
scrapings from the poorer Canadian wineries.

  25. hey no Added by: Nirvana fan
[Timestamp: Thu 20 May, 16:03 Tasmanian Standard Time]

The Jindalee OTH radar system, an Australian invention, has been proven to "light up" the US stealth aircraft. It has the Americans pretty worried and Australia has told them that they will only sell the technology to the Americans.
Unfortunately, we have a pissant company called AWA which is running the operations on behalf of the Australian Defense Force. Big worry.

I have it on good authority that the Jindalee system is functioning well beyond design capabilities, it is just those idiots at AWA are bitching that they undertendered for the contract and cannot run it properly on the budget supplied.
Those subs...weapons system problems, navigation problems and run silent run deep....my arse they do.
