Does anyone want to talk about anything that does not
include shutup or onelist.

I believe that I do however my brain is quite limited in
its capacity to think of what the hell that would be.

I am suffering from Amnesia to the friendliness that ever

When I look out my window all I can see is very dark clouds
    & lots of rain.
My diet coke is going down well as I observe the antics
    around this place.

I discovered TTYC a few months ago and I now consider
myself "Old Skool". What I noticed this morning and
afternoon is that a number of topics were in fact quite
good and everyone, despite their diferences were quite
    amicable. This has to change.

    Haha.

OSP, you're the one who fainted in Melbourne, right? Are
you male or female? I remember that post from you.

I'd rather discuss Shut Up or onelist.

O.K. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. However it
is people like you who spoil it for the rest of us by
forcing the mediators to make us register. Are you Wilster
    in disguise?

kind of rainy today, although can't say we don't need it.
Rode in to work today. Wet, eh? Eildon Weir, nearly empty.
Farmers, nothing to irrigate with. Swimmers, nowhere to
swim. Ancient civilisations unearthed beneath receding dam
waters. Dust storms eddying around mud encrusted buildings.
Sound like something out of JG Ballard?

Tell me why you prefer diet coke to the real deal.
Personally my favourite is pepsi max, a beverage which I
have consumed in copious quantities over the past few years
due to my employment at a certain fast food chain owned by
pepsico. Doesn't watching the rain fall from inside make
you feel cosy and cheery? It always does me.

unfortunately I'm heading off to work now so well, I'll
just say hi and yes, it's rainy here too, pouring down,
left my brolly on the train and got soaked. Bye, have a
    nice conversation y'all.

All I am saying is that I would prefer to do the travelling
rather than talk about it. Your choice is not the only
Thorn Tree board after all for those of you who want to
    talk strictly travel.

    I am female.

Edge, you are right, the rain is badly needed. At least it
is not too cold. I haven't been to Eildon for years. used to
have boating holidays up there when I was a kid...memories.

Inquisitor..I like diet coke 'just for the taste of it'.
No really, I have only been drinking it for the last few
weeks & it is good. I guess it sort of replaces my ned for
coffee. I go for unleaded as it has less calories.

your fainting fit? Ever find out what it was?

Would hiding behind a rock a better option for you ?

  16. youknow Added by: OSP
[Timestamp: Mon 24 May, 15:49 Tasmanian Standard Time]

well actually I don't know who you are. No, hiding under a
rock is not an option. Why do you ask? I have never believed
    in hiding. It achieves nothing.

Edge, I am off work for a week due to ill health. So I will
be around here a lot as I can't do much else. My fainting
was due to low blood pressure.

Just opened my second diet coke, I think I'm addicted.

Did you have your sugar checked. We had a flatmate we
called the girl with no legs. She kept passing out or
going into this half coma state and we kept calling the
ambulance and/or carrying her to the car and taking her to
casuality. We got so used to it that people thought we were
callous. She'd pass out at a dinner party, we'd get her to
the couch, throw some honey and water down her throat and
then continue on. When the ambulance arrived we would
serenade her as she was driven off. I suppose you had to be
there. Anyway it went as quickly as it came and they could
never find out what it was.

  18. low blood pressure Added by: edge
[Timestamp: Mon 24 May, 15:57 Tasmanian Standard Time]

is diet coke wise if you've got low blood pressure? I don't
want to nag, but ... I don't know, really, I'm just putting
it up there. I guess if you've got low bp, then you'd be
wise to take up eating lots of salt, greasy chips, and have
the odd puff of a cigarette? Nah, forget the last two. But
maybe salt? Friend of mine had low blood pressure, and she
said it was like falling off the edge of a cliff when she
was lying on the bed. Or something like that. Hope it's
curable. Anyway, we're not here to discuss your health
problems. Seen any good bands/movies/news reports lately?

  19. OSP Added by: Inquisitor
[Timestamp: Mon 24 May, 16:08 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I also have experienced the annoyance of low bp. For me it
occurs when I stand up after lying down for awhile, my
vision goes fuzzy and black and my head swims monstrously.
Luckily it seems to have gone away, could be because I cut
down on my recreational intake of that evil weed, and
started exercising a bit more. But now that I read your
posts, you didn't actually ask for advice re. your bp
problem, however, too late, you've already had to read my
    contribution ha ha ha.

The best news report I have seen is the one about chocolate
being good for you. A small amount of chocolate a day is
actually very good for you & can lower cholesterol. Don't
ask me the source as I cannot remember.

The last movie I saw was rugrats ...what an ordeal.

Inquisitor..haha that stuff can be bad. I learnt that the
hard way. Wouldn't touch it now.

  23. The last movie... Added by: Sticks
[Timestamp: Tue 25 May, 1:24 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I was was Rugrats also. I thought it was interesting that
you considered it an ordeal as well. On the whole, I was
disappointed with the movie. I have been fairly impressed
with the TV show but thought the movie dragged and didn't
have enough content to fill up the time.
    .
I just remembered that I saw the animated remake of the King
and I with the kids and was REALLY disappointed with it as
well. The music was good (all the original tunes from the
original movie) but past that I can't saw much nice.

  24. rugrats Added by: OSP
[Timestamp: Tue 25 May, 10:53 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I found it tedious after the first half hour. It just seemed
to go on & on. The kids & teenagers in the cinema appeared
to enjoy it though. Can't please everyone & I guess it is a
kids movie, though there are a few humourous snippets for
    adults.
