Hi,
i am planning a journey to the Caribbean, starting in
Trinidad. Could anyone tell me if it is interesting enough
there to stay longer, or would it be better to head for
Santo Domingo, Cuba, etc. Are the beaches in Trinidad
polluted? Is there an interesting nightlife? Is it a safe
place? I would appreciate any info
thanks BareBear

Hi - My husband and I live on a sailboat in the Caribbean.
We have been down the island chain from the Virgin Islands
to Trinidad. Trinidad doesn't have much to offer the
traveler - so I would recommend heading north to Grenada to
start. The following are some highlights as you head north:
Grenada, Grenadines (Bequia, Tobago Cays, Mustique), St.
Lucia - Pitons, Martinique, Dominica, St. Martin, St.
Barts, British Virgin Islands. We haven't been to Cuba,
the Dominican Republic, the Cayman Islands or Jamaica, but
we hear that they are great as well.
    Have fun -
