My wife and I are looking for a tropical vacation
destination that offers a resort-like beach setting that is
also within walking distance of bars and restaurants. We
found that eperience quite enjoyable last year in Key West
and are looking for similar for our May vacation. Any ideas?

...are Ixtapa and Zijuatanejo. They are on the Pacific
coast of Mexico about 150 miles north of Acapulco. Gorgeous
beaches, very tropical setting, very, very safe, and the 2
towns are only 4 miles apart. Ixtapa is the resort-hotel
strip, very nice if that's what you like. If you like more
traditional Mexico and speak Spanish, go to Zijuatanejo.
There are apartments for rent for cheap, great cental
market, 4 lovely and different beaches, some lined with
restaurants and cafes. The people here are friendly, the
weather is awesome and the snorkeling is great. Have fun!
