I just wondered if anyone had spent any time in a
rastafarian commune in Jamacia and what the experiance was
like? I'm going in June and hope to spend some time in one
if anyone wants to come leave a message.

  3. Read up on the rules Added by: JohnJohn

I have been to a few nyabingis and sat down for a few
reasonings around the chalice. It is advisable to learn a
bit about the rasta terminology and rules of etiquette and
perhaps have an understanding of the history of the movement
and the negast beforehand.Stick close to your mentor at
nyabinis and follow suit since some of the rules will only
become apparent as the evening progresses. There is far more
to it than ritual, philosophy, religious tenets, history and
ital dietary restrictions. Your willingness to learn is the
first step and most important step.
