Remember that the Buffalo Soldiers took all of it on foot
and Teddy Roosevelt and the Roughriders never charged up
there on horses like they portrayed in the paintings. That
part was all propaganda for tabloid consumption back in the
states and the true heroes were unsung.

Besides the San Juan Hill and Kettle Hill sites where Medals
of Honor were gained by the 10th cavalry there was an action
at Toyabacoa on the coast (4 medals awarded) and the name
Las Guasimas is shown in the title of one of the paintings.
The curator of the national tour exhibition of the Buffalo
Soldier is Anthony Powell who gives his e-mail address as
apowell@earthlink.net (I'm sure he could give some clear
    directions to the sites).

We open the Gate for Teddy to come to Cuba and never there
were any mentions of a Cuban soldiers, San Juan Hill is
about 10 foot high he never was on a horse this is all
propaganda to make him look like a bear also he was a
killer of aninmals that he use to shoot and we made him a
    president.
Cuba have a lot of history all you do when you go don't
talk about politics and you'll be suprise how many people
will try to strike a conversation about it.
What ever you do don't talk about it/
    Have a nice trip you'll enjoy it/
