WANNA HEAR TROMPETS

I gotta go to Cuba only to hear some homegrown music. I cant
imagine someone who's been to Fidel's IsLand without having
heard the sounds of Cuba. If there's anybody out there who's
had the experiences i'm looking for, i'd appreciate to know
where those places are in Cuba.
So what's my recipe for a wonderful week in Cuba??
WANNA HEAR SOME TROMPETS!!!!!!!!
Merci!!
Benoit

  16. back to Cuban music Added by: KLM
[Timestamp: Wed 28 April, 0:31 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I went to Cuba last year with the main aim of dancing as
much salsa as my feet would allow. However, blonde women
travelling through Cuba asking for places to dance salsa
don't always get the right responses!?! But a good starting
point for music is always the Casa de la Trova, each town
generally has one. Mostly you'll come across a little band
of old men playing classic son - and although a Casa de la
Trova isn't really intended for dancing, you'll find that
your feet just won't stop tapping... I can particularly
recommend the Casas de la Trova of Trinidad and Santiago de
Cuba , and in Santiago there is also a place called Artex
on the same street as the Casa de la Trova which was very
good. I assure you, it really won't be difficult for you to
find good Cuban music when you're in Cuba, it is just so
    much part of Cuban life!
