Looking for desert paradise

Leaving for holidays in may.
Looking for the most beautiful, quiet and almost desert
beaches with blue transparent water, white sand and no
waves.
Small budget, never mind sleeping in a tent or small wood
bungalow and have a shower in the sea. Just want loneliness.
If you know this place, please advise ASAP
Thank you

Even been to DominicanRepublic. Well, I have. There is a spot in the North, that is absolutely beautiful. You can't reach it by bus or anythin, you have to take a guide to take you there. The place is Punta el Rey, el presidente is Leo (who talks English and Swiss)!! I even got ypu a beeper number is you want, it is 479-0238
    Tel. 1 223-8367 Miches, R.D. Fax 1 553-5252 (Leo)
Try it, it is really great!!!!!

  2. St. Kitts Added by: Katie (kzuzek@hotmail.com)

If you are looking for a quiet, non-commericalized island think about St. Kitts. I lived there for 16 months and loved it. The beaches are not crowed and you can find yourself alone on some, esp. during the week.
The water is blue and clear.
As far as camping goes, I am unsure about this. You may be forced into bed&break or hotel which could be more expensive than you are planning

The most beautiful sandy beaches, crystal clear water and no people. At least that's how it used to be before the luxury hotels opened up.

  6. Try St. Lucia Added by: Rosalind

St. Lucia has some great places away from the hussle and
bussle. The north is busy, but if you want quiet, then try
the Fox Grove Inn. It is in the country, has a pool and
horse riding. Beaches are close by, also the superb Mamiku
Gardens, which is very relaxing. http://www.mamiku.com
Fox Grove has a web page also. The food is great too.

  7. Turks & Caicos Added by: Lonely beaches

Two years ago we went to Turks & Caicos Islands. We stayed
on Grand Turk, which is the governmental island. We spent
5 hours on a beach and only saw 2 (yes, TWO) locals. The
island is very small, no resorts, only small B & Bs.
Popular diving island. If you don't dive (we don't) then
during the daytime noone but locals are around. Can rent
bicycles to go around the island and chase the wild horses
and donkeys that are everywhere! Desert type island.

  8. You'll want to go to... Added by: martoraj

Culebra...it fits your description to a T. Dry,
rural, relatively undiscovered, no highrises. There's a
campground there on one of the best beaches.
