Hi to all, I am posting this message so I can get an
opinion about the weather in the Republic Dominican in the
August month. I am thinking in spending my summer holidays
in there, but since I am from Portugal and 35 degres of
temperature is already quite hot for me, I wonder if the
temperature in R. Dominican at that period of the year
would be to much for me.

    Dear Pedro,
Having lived in the Dominican Republic for may years I can tell you August is just about the hotest time you can go. But the coutry has so many different regions each with it's own climate it really depeds where in the country you'll be staying. There are rainforests, alpin forest, desert, savana, magrove swamps. You name it it's the second largest of the Caribbean islands and the most varied in it's landscape and history.
If you want to be cool you'll have to go to the central region of Constanza kown as the Switzerland of the Caribbean for it's mountains and weather.
There is a wealthof informatio on the following site go there and see what you like.
