Hi everyone,
I┤m sitting here thinking about what to buy with me home
from Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
I know of Guatemalas textiles, the Honduran cigars and
possibly a drawing from Nicaragua. What else is there? A
parrot from Costa Rica would of been nice but sadly not
possible.

In CR, try the wood worked artifacts such as boxes, bowls,
etc. Sarchi (a town) is famous for its woodworking, you can
also get many things in San Jose in the Ave. 7-9, Calle 7-9
    areas.

While we were in Antigua Guatemala we went to a store and
bought freshly roasted black bean coffee and some very nice
little bags which we gave to our friends when we got back
to the states. Seemed greatly received and for sure is
something that will be used and the coffee is really good.

apart from the hamacas and machetes, the best souvenir i
bought in Nicaragua was stuffed frogs playing marimba. hard
    to beat, don't you think?

I've sent back some great oxcarts (via United Parcel, *not*
the postal service) from the "factories" in South Sarchi'.
Friends love them. Stay away from North Sarchi'--tacky
    made-in-China junk.
