What are the greatest dangers for travellers in Mexico in your opinion??
( E.g. ; crime, robbery, assault, pickpockets, spiders, snakes, fraud, swindle, illness, disease, mosquito, heat-stroke, car accidents, etc.)
I do look forward to get there but you know -

  1. Greatest danger Added by: Bob

The greatest danger is having such a good time that you
forget all about family and friends and never want to go
home. Just try and think once in awhile before you do
something that seems crazy. If you stay at home you just grow
old. Other than a few meals I should have known better to
eat, a suicidal bus driver in Chiapas and some moonshine
mescal never really been in danger in over 20 years of Mexico
    travel.

The greatest danger in Mexico is falling in love with the
place, and longing for taquitos al pastor, Bohemia
and walking through Mexico City's historic center after
    leaving it.

in Mexico is the corruption. Every time you turn around
there is a new bureaucratic obstacle that can always be
    arranged with a little cash.

Every post above is absolutely true. I lived there for 4
mos. and keep telling myself that I only came back home to
get ready to go back. Going back in 4 wks! Don't let the
cops catch you drunk in public. They will try to hassel you
    for $. Happy travels! -matt
