I'm heading back down to CA this fall, and was wondering if
anyone could share experiences of teaching english WITHOUT
a certificate. I am looking at Guatemala. I would
appreciate any info.

  2. DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE TEACHING??? Added by: Nancy (ecovision@inter.net.gt)

If so, or if you have lots of energy and motivation, bring a
good looking resume and you could probably score a job in
    antigua...
you do need to give a 1 year committment, as the kids and
    school need consistency.
    Any other questions??? write me.

  3. Private lessons! Added by: Tom L. (tom@xelapages.com)

    Hi,
We live in Quetzaltenango and my wife teaches private
spanish lessons to children. The pay is way better than any
school and the schedule is more flexible. She only works in
    the afternoon. 2pm to 6pm
She is easily making $10 to $15 US per hour which in
    Guatemala is great money.
If you run some small ads in the newspaper you could find
    some work.
The Inter American School here is Xela pays $230 US/month
    and you work all day.
It is a bit harder to start something like this but the pay
    off is worth it!
