The simple rule is just stay away from the town of Cabo San
Lucas. Ten to twenty km away and you will find very nice
coves for snorkeling but party tour boats might still arrive
on the scene. Further away, just outside the nice town of
San Jose del Cabo (to the east) or toward Todos Santos (to
the north of CSL) and you will find yourself on miles of
beaches where you may be totally alone. The Pacific side of
the peninsula does not look good for swimming or snorkeling,
better for surf and boating and fishing. Look at
    www.allaboutcabo.com or www.loscabosguide.com
