Costa Rica in October?

From everything I've read, it sounds like Costa Rica is a
rainy mess in October. Can anyone who's actually traveled
there then confirm, deny or qualify this? Thanks!

    howdy, i need info on the quickest, cheapest way to get
    from the state of Yucatan, MΘxico to Guatemala, preferably
    Quetzaltenango. airplane? bus? maybe i should just head
    out on foot! also if anyone has been a participant on a
    trek with the quetzaltrekkers company in xela, please tell
    me about your experience as i plan to climb a volcano with
    them this summer. would really appreciate any imput that

    yes, it is the deep dark rainy season in Oct. I live here.
    but most of time the mornings are sunny, afternoons
    overcast and rain in the late aft. It is still beautiful.
    sometimes the East coast can have better weather. And we we
    have cabins(southern Pacific) we get less rain than the
    surrounding areas as we are a flat beach peninsula.
