How much does it cost to travel from San Jose, CR to San
Salvador, ES? By way of Air and Bus? Also how long does it
take for the bus??

If you are really humping it and get all the connections you
could do it in 2 long days. Generally buses don't run
    overnight.

try this page for schedules, anyhow. The fare's probably
like $20 or so, I know the fare from San Jose to Managua is
about $10, I did it a year ago. The bus leaves SJ and stops
overnight in Managua--there's a hotel affiliated with the
bus station, there are also hostels in the neighborhood.
Then you get on the bus in the am early and go on to El
    Salvador.

machote is probably right about the tica bus fare. since
it's a costa rican company the fare is lower when
purchasing the ticket in san jose than in san salvador or
managua. you're lucky!! i've only good things to say about
tica bus. i've used them a lot. one thing though; book WELL
    IN ADVANCE.
    ciao for now

...in Managua. Had a bad and a really bad experience there
(two in all). Really nasty, hateful people work in that
office. The hotel tried to cheat me (probably because I
was a gringo). Very unpleasant place. One fellow traveler
recommended PanaLinea...never tried it, so can't say how it
    is, but wish I had.
