Does anyone know of any good beach towns to visit in
CR? Maybe a place that has good nightlife and diving? also
is it easy to get there? Thanks.

Cahuita and Puerto Viejo (Talamanca)sp? on the Caribbean
side. Montezuma on the Pacific. This are the old and not so
old standbys. Cahuita is probably the cheapest if that is a
super issue. I'll be there in a little over a month if you
want to check back with me for up to date info.
Dominical is great. I went there this past summer and loved it. You need to take a bus to one town and then transfer there. It is about four hours from San Jose and worth it. At night the Bar & Grill (the only one) is the pace to be and so much fun. If the electricity goes out (common during the summer) they use candles and everyone dances and lsitens to music.
I second the vote for Puerto Viejo, You just take a bus to Limon and then there. It's not too far from San Jose.
Also, go to Jaco and party it up. Everyone has a blast at night, although the beach isn't the best right there. If you want to surf you have to drive to the locations in a 4x4.

great people over there, and superb accomodation for the
