Tourist Card

I am a Canadian who will be traveling into Nicuaragua via
bus (from Honduras). I am told that getting a Visa (or
tourist card?) is easiest when flying in. Is it easy to get
one when coming in by bus? Should I try and get one in
advance, if so how?
Thanks for your help!

As you enter the border you will be chareged (two years ago
I think it was $6 for canadians) by the immigration officals
and you will have to fill out several forms (everything
will be at hand0, there is not much you can do about this as
there is really one land crossing into nicaragua. The other
option is to cross through the Mosiquito coast, but this is
really hard and time comsumming (should you do this bring a
Hondurian toursit card (there use the same format in central
america except mecico, belize, guatamala and maybe costa
    rica.

i travelled from honduras (tegu) to managua about a month
ago. while canadians are supposed to buy a twenty dollar
visa, i did not and had to pay only 8 at the border. the
only difference was the price. just bring youre honduran
tourist card and you will get in without any problem.

I had to pay $10USD upon entering Nic by bus and that was
in Dec 98. I'm a Canadian. It was payable at the border
crossing in the office and the bus will wait for you-no
prob. Remember to carry exact US cash. They are strict on
    this. Buena seurte!
