I was in Guate for 3 months this past year and worked at a bar in Antigua...Riki's. They're always looking for people, whether you have experience or not. Talk to either Riki(German woman) or Pierre(French guy), they own the place. It doesn't pay much but it's a good way to supplement your income and the tips are better there than most other places. I don't know how much spanish you're going to learn as it's known as a "gringo" bar but you do get some locals. Antigua itself isn't a great place to learn spanish only because there are so many tourists you end up speaking more english than anything. I had some German and Danish friends who would write home that there spanish was "ok" but their English was getting "much better". Anyway, hope this helps
