Arriving to Guate City

everyone can help me with this... I am arriving late at night to Guatemala city, and take a bus next day to Quetzaltenango for spanish lessons.
I was wondering where to spend the night in the city...some affordable place, because I am a student.
it┤s better to stay in airport area or get some accomodation near the bus station. are the taxis safe? or can I take the bus?
any advice?

    Try Pension dos Lunas. It's near the airport. bob

    Never stayed there but lots of people have left really good
    reviews of it on here. $10 a nite and they will pick you up
    from the airport. You can make a reservation on their web
    site.

    Hi Joel, Dos Lunas seems like a good place expecially if
    it┤s the first night since the owner will pick you up at
    the airport. They are supposed to be located 900m from La
    Aurora. I have reservations there myself in 14 days.

    Stay at Dos Lunas, great place, they will pick you up at the airport even if it┤s very late, Lorena (the owner) she┤s the best. rooms are very clean I felt like home
