MALARIA IN COSTA RICA

Does anyone know which areas of Costa Rica are Malarial or have had recent oubreaks of dengue fever?
Trying to plan a trip there avoiding malarial areas !

    You should presume that any area below 1500 meters is a risk
    zone. Take Malaria pills according to your doctor's
    instructions.

    Malaria & dengue is long gone... there were outbreaks in the
    the 80's and early 90's in Guanacaste and Alajuela (two
    bordering provinces) because of the oubreaks in neighboring
    countries but Costa Rica bearly has any health risks anymore
    now that Nicaraguas war is o
